This is a chapter by chapter summary of the book The Great Controversy between Christ and Satan written by Ellen Gould White. I have selected two or three of the main points of each chapter to present in my own words. I have also selected two or more sentences from each chapter that complement or supplement my commentary.
I have two target audiences in mind. If you have read this book in the past or are to some degree familiar with the book I present this to you as a way to get a quick overview or reminder of the contents. If you are curious about the contents but feel you simply don't have time to devote to reading the 360+ pages of the book I submit this to you as a quick introduction and overview of the actual content of the book. I hope you are inspired to read the original in full.
The book affectionately known as the Great Controversy consists of 42 chapters. Some chapters are longer or shorter than others. Written, expanded, edited and republished over a period of years the content resembles a series of lectures or sermons that progressively build toward a conclusion. Jesus Christ is literally returning to earth as described and predicted in the Holy Bible.
Note: The references to the pages in the book consist of two numbers. The first is to the popular edition by Remnant Publications, Inc. The second number is to the "standard" edition.
