The Law of God

The Bible has a lot to say about law and laws. Is love God a law? Is show mercy a law? Is do justly a law? What is law? Is God's law equivalent to man-made law? What separates God's law from human law?

The Bible suggests answers to these questions and many other questions relative to law. It should be clear and obviously simple to see that any law reflects the mind and intent of the author of the law. A law giver assumes the power and authority to enforce the laws that are given. The law giver can demand compliance and set consequences.

All this is Biblical, logical and reasonable. Every law is dependent on the character and person of its author. God's law is dependent on the character and person of God. It is clear and simple. What will you do about it? Will you accept it as truth or rebel against truth?

God is loving and gracious. We, as inhabitants of earth created by God, live in a cause and effect world. God created the rules. Rebellion against the rules may seem like a thing some want to do but it will not produce a good result. It is sin and it causes and produces death and destruction.

God has provided a solution. It is God's plan. God provides a path forward. It involves acceptance of the terms and how the plan works. It involves belief, trust and faith.

Believe in God, trust God's plan and grow in faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is God's Son and the Way established by God as the solution to the problem of sin and evil.
